Department Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Test Lead to drive quality engineering and test automation across McDonald's Customer Data Platform (mCDP) ecosystem. This role serves as the testing authority for mCDP, including our CDP platform, custom data pipeline components, audience management, customer profiles, activation services, consent management, and downstream MarTech integrations.The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in test automation, data engineering validation, and customer data platforms with the ability to develop comprehensive testing strategies across complex distributed systems. This individual will lead quality efforts across real-time and batch data pipelines, audience generation frameworks, activation feeds, customer data products, and platform integrations while ensuring scalability, reliability, privacy compliance, and data accuracy throughout the mCDP ecosystem.This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on automation expertise, and the ability to establish testing standards that ensure high-confidence releases across all mCDP products and services.
Duties
Quality Engineering Strategy & LeadershipDefine and drive the end-to-end testing and quality engineering strategy for the mCDP ecosystem, including mParticle, custom services/data pipelines, customer profiles, audience management, activation services, and downstream integrations.Establish testing standards, governance, release readiness criteria, and automation-first quality practices across product and engineering teams.Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, MarTech, and Data Governance teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.m
Particle & Audience ValidationLead testing efforts for mParticle implementations, including Data Plans, event schemas, customer identities, profiles, attributes, audience segmentation, and activation workflows.Design and implement automated validation frameworks to ensure audience accuracy, customer profile integrity, consent compliance, and data quality.Develop reconciliation processes that validate customer data and audience membership across source systems, mParticle, activation platforms, and reporting environments.
End-to-End Platform TestingDevelop comprehensive test strategies spanning all mCDP components, including data ingestion, transformation, identity resolution, profile generation, segmentation, activation, and reporting.Define and execute regression, integration, API, performance, and end-to-end testing across real-time and batch processing platforms.Ensure quality coverage for event-driven architectures, streaming pipelines, and cloud-native data platforms.
Test Automation & Continuous ImprovementDesign, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Python, and modern testing tools.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery.Monitor quality metrics, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Quality Engineering & Test AutomationStrong experience developing and executing enterprise testing strategies across complex distributed systems.Expertise in test automation using Java, Python, PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.Experience building automated testing frameworks for API, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Customer Data Platforms & Data ValidationExperience testing Customer Data Platforms (mParticle preferred) including Data Plans, audience segmentation, identity resolution, customer profiles, and activation workflows.Strong SQL and data validation skills with experience performing data reconciliation and large-scale data quality testing.Understanding of data governance, lineage, schema management, consent management, and customer data privacy principles.
Data Engineering & Cloud TechnologiesExperience testing cloud-native data platforms and event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or similar.Familiarity with GCP, AWS, containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.Understanding of real-time data processing, distributed systems, and large-scale data platform architectures.
Leadership & CommunicationProven ability to lead testing programs across multiple teams and complex integration landscapes.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence engineering, product, and business teams.Experience driving quality governance, release readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $127,332.00 - $159,165.00 per year
